"Our new chair lift just got installed and we are tickled pink! Your installers were so sweet and they did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for all your help." Annie Hopkins - San Diego, California

While the stair lifts we provide are most often self-installed, about 25% of our customers prefer to have their stair lift installation performed by us with our professional, nationwide installation service. We can even come to your home and measure your staircase for the perfect fit. Please check below to see our current rates for these services.

Your sole responsibility when it comes to installation is to check the building codes in your state, especially for commercial applications. Although we will provide you with what we know about codes in your state, it's your responsibility to contact your local building department and obtain any necessary permits that they may require.

Can you tell me more about self-installation? Self-installation is done by a majority of our customers in order to save money. Perhaps the best way to tell if you (or the person you have in mind) is capable of installing a stair lift is to ask yourself, "would I change my own vehicle's brakes?" Installation is not particularly difficuilt and usually takes 2-3 hours to complete at a slow pace. Every stair lift we sell comes with detailed installation instructions. We've found that DC stair lifts are a bit easier to install than AC stair lifts because they do not have a trailing power cable.
